It was learnt that the fire broke out at the club in Goa at 11.39 pm on December 6, around 12 am, the fire brigade and police reached the spot. The accident was huge, people were trapped in the fire, many people were reported dead, club owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra were present at a wedding in Delhi at that time. Both of them didn't worry about the people burning in their club. The two booked their tickets for Phuket on an IndiGo flight at 1: 07 pm. Caught the flight at five o'clock in the morning and fled to Thailand. However, after reaching Thailand, the Luthra brothers realized that they would not be able to escape, so they made another move. He had applied for anticipatory bail through his lawyer. He told the court that he wanted to come back and help in the investigation, but the court rejected the plea of both the brothers.
