The Congress is set to move a no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. According to sources, the leaders of the 'India' bloc have decided to move a no-confidence motion against the Rajya Sabha chairman. Opposition leaders claim that more than 50 MPs have signed it so far. All parties in the 'India' bloc have agreed to the no-confidence motion and it is likely to be tabled in the Rajya Sabha soon.In fact, the proceedings of both the Houses of Parliament in the Winter Session are not running smoothly. Opposition MPs have repeatedly accused the Speaker of being biased. The opposition has accused him of acting in a partisan manner in the House. The opposition parties will move a no-confidence motion under Article 67 (b) of the Constitution. According to sources, all parties of the India Alliance, including the TMC, the Aam Aadmi Party, the Samajwadi Party, have signed in support of the no-confidence motion.On Monday, there was a huge ruckus between the ruling and the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, due to which the Upper House was adjourned for the day at around 3.10 pm after being adjourned thrice. The NDA member accused the Congress and its leaders of destabilising the country's government and economy through foreign organisations and demanded a discussion on the issue. The Opposition, led by the Congress, raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government, raising the issue related to the Adani Group.
