Acting on the lapse, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has launched a coordinated operation to detain all those who failed to comply with the government order. The detained Pakistani nationals will be helped to reach the Wagah border where they will be handed over to Pakistani authorities after completing necessary formalities, the sources said.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have detained dozens of Pakistani nationals in various districts of the Valley for allegedly defying the government's orders to leave the country. Most of them are women.
At least 34 foreign nationals, who defied orders to leave the country, have been served notices by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, highly placed sources said. These people have come to Jammu and Kashmir on short-term visas and do not include long-term visa holders, whose number is around 80. Among those who have been sent notices are 12 Pakistani Hindus who had come to meet their families, mostly in the Jammu region.
Most of them are in the Jammu region. The Jammu and Kashmir Police have detained at least 50 people, mostly women, who had come from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). She lived in the valley for many years and her children were born here. The total number of such persons who came to Jammu and Kashmir with their Kashmiri husbands during the "terrorist rehabilitation policy" of 2010 is around 300. All the detained persons have already been served notices to leave India by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) CID Special Branch (SB) Kashmir, who also holds the charge of Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) in Kashmir, they said. The action is being taken in compliance of order No. 25022/28/2025 -F dated April 25, 2025 issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs (Foreigners-I Division), an official said.
