Papa's daughter also has the same right in father's property as sons! Even if the daughters are married
According to an order of the Supreme Court, a girl born in the Hindu religion has an equal share in her father's property from the moment she is born. This rule applies to Hindu religion as well as Buddhist, Sikh and Jain communities.
According to the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act 2005 of the Indian Constitution, daughters have the same rights and authority over a father's property as sons. It does not matter whether the daughter is virgin or married. This simply means that married daughters can also stake claim for an equal share in their father's property. If a person has a son and a daughter, then the daughter can claim half of her father's property i.e. equal share of her brother in the property. But in this case, there is a situation where the daughter Cannot claim the property. According to the law, if a person does not include his daughter's name in his will before his death, then in such a situation the daughter cannot claim her father's property.
