Astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Butch Wilmore return to Earth after nine months in space. Elon Musk has been given the responsibility to bring him back to Earth

Astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Butch Wilmore are expected to return to Earth on March 19 and 20. Both of them have been in the International Space Station (ISS) for about ten months. The two flew aboard the Starliner spacecraft for this test mission on June 5, 2024. He returned home after eight more days. When the Starliner spacecraft approached the ISS, it developed problems and its five thrusters, which give direction to the craft, shut down. Helium was also depleted. This forced the craft to rely on burning fuel and the return of the two astronauts was held up. Wilmore, 61, and Sunita, 58, were transported to the International Space Station by the Boeing Starliner spacecraft. It was the first flight of its kind with people on board. It was a test to see how the new spacecraft performs before it is put to regular use. As time went on, however, some problems began to emerge. There was a leak in its propulsion system and some of the thrusters also started shutting down. Now US President Donald Trump has given the responsibility of bringing back the astronauts to Elon Musk. According to NASA, they can be brought back around March 19 or 20.
