Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) whose existence is facing a big crisis

LOKSABHA ELECTION 2024 - In this Lok Sabha election, many states and many parties are facing existential crisis. Bahujan Samaj Party is one such party, whose existence is facing a big crisis. Its vote percentage is continuously declining. Even after being out of power, it still had a strong vote base of 20 percent, which it had got in 2014. In the 2022 assembly elections, it reduced to 13 percent and in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, its vote percentage reached 9.39 percent. It has become a party of zero Lok Sabha and one Assembly. He got 2.04 percent votes in the entire country. Earlier in 2019, it had got 3.6 percent votes. That means he lost more than one and a half percent of the votes. This happened because the message was sent to the voters that Bahujan Samaj Party was not contesting the elections as an independent party. It is working as a supporting party of BJP. The message was created among its own voters that BSP is no longer a force and they should find another option. Then Mayawati's vote got divided between BJP and SP. Congress also managed to take some of its votes and meanwhile, Azad Samaj Party leader Chandrashekhar Azad has emerged as a major force. He has won the election from Nagina seat, which is a BSP stronghold in western Uttar Pradesh. So, BSP is in trouble in two ways. One, the strengthening of the bi-polar politics of BJP and SP and two, the emergence of Chandrashekhar as an alternative.
