These drones are Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Bayraktar TB2 and Bangladesh has purchased 12 such drones from Turkey this year. According to Bangladesh's Defence Technology (DTB), out of 12 Bayraktar TB2s taken from Turkey, 6 are operational. The drones are being operated by the 67th Bangladesh Army for surveillance and intelligence purposes, defence websites ITRW and India Today quoted sources as saying.This information has come to light at a time when there are reports of terrorist activities in the neighboring country on the border near Bengal.
