Congress wiped out in Haryana municipal elections! 9 BJP mayors won
Apart from these 10 municipal areas, counting of votes is also underway in five municipal councils and 23 municipalities. The BJP is leading in most of the seats. BJP's Preeti Bagri won the by-election to the post of chairperson of the Shiv Nagri-Sohna Municipal Council.

Now a triple engine government has been formed in Haryana. After the assembly elections, the BJP has got a majority in the state assembly. The BJP won 9 out of 10 municipal corporation elections in Haryana. One seat was won by a BJP rebel. The Congress's situation is worse than that of the BJP. The Congress failed to win even a single seat in the municipal corporation. In Faridabad, BJP candidate Praveen Batra Joshi registered the biggest victory in the country. Also, BJP's Raj Rani Melhotra won the high-profile Gurugram seat.
The Congress faced a debacle in the Haryana assembly elections. The Congress also lost in the stronghold of former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
BJP wins Ambala, leads in several other seats
Counting of votes for the recently held municipal elections in Haryana began on Wednesday, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) winning the mayoral post in the Ambala Municipal Corporation.
