The testing fee for petrol, CNG or LPG (including biofuel) two and three wheelers will now be Rs 80. Petrol, CNG or LPG (including bio-fuels) will be priced at Rs 110 for four-wheelers and above categories. Along with this, the price for diesel-powered vehicles has been fixed at Rs 140. When the prices were increased in 2011, till now its price is Rs 60, Rs 80, and Rs 100. Earlier from 2005 to 2011, the price was kept at Rs 35, Rs 45 and Rs 60.

HEADLINES TODAY- Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot has said that in view of the long pending demands of Delhi Petrol Dealers Association and keeping in mind the rising cost of pollution checking services, we have decided to revise the rates. This amendment is necessary to ensure that pollution checking stations can continue to operate efficiently and provide quality services to the public. We are committed to maintaining Delhi's air quality and ensuring that all vehicles meet the required pollution standards.

According to Delhi Government, there was no increase in pollution testing rates since 2011, hence Delhi Petrol Dealers Association has been continuously demanding increase in pollution testing charges. On June 20, a meeting of representatives of Delhi Petrol Dealers Association was also held with Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot.In which he reiterated his demand to increase the fees. On which the Transport Minister had assured that their demands would be considered keeping the interests of the general public paramount.
