Goa's famous tourist destinations Anjuna and Asgaon are currently in the spotlight due to the country's biggest land scam. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Shivshankar Mayekar, the alleged mastermind of the scam. He is accused of grabbing community lands (comunidad) in the village by forging documents and later selling these lands worth crores of rupees to launder money.
