Gang involved in getting around 18,000 admissions in MBBS busted! NRI candidates also involved
In most cases, agents and medical colleges used the same set of documents for multiple candidates. According to the information revealed, some genuine NRI candidates were also involved in this racket. These candidates were given money by agents in lieu of their names being used.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has unearthed a scam in the admission process in medical colleges. The ED has busted a racket that used fake documents to get students admitted to medical colleges under the NRI quota. The probe has also revealed that private medical colleges have given nearly 18,000 admissions in MBBS course to students using fake documents. This has been revealed in the investigation carried out with the help of the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian embassies. Investigations by the ED have revealed that private medical colleges paid money to agents to prepare documents such as consular documents and fake pedigrees of NRIs. In most cases, agents and medical colleges used the same set of documents for multiple candidates.
