But this did not happen. When Union Minister Ashwani Vaishnav was talked to regarding the arrears of 18 months while giving information about the cabinet decisions, he said that there is no such update as of now... Let us tell you that during the budget session, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary had said, Even now the fiscal deficit of the Central Government is running more than double the level shown in the FRBM Act. In such a situation, it is not possible to pay arrears of DA/DR. Sreekumar says, the Supreme Court has decided that in such cases the employee has to pay the amount with six percent interest. He also said that it will be thought about further. Therefore there is no need to worry.
