On the last day of campaigning for the assembly elections in Maharashtra, Rahul Gandhi has promised to remove the 50 percent limit on reservation and conduct a caste census in the country. Rahul Gandhi said in Mumbai, 'Caste census is the biggest issue before us and we will complete it. This is our central pillar.' He also said, 'The assembly elections to be held on November 20 are a battle of ideologies between some billionaires and the poor. Projects worth Rs 7 lakh crore, including 'Foxconn' and 'Airbus', were shifted from Maharashtra to Gujarat, due to which the youth of Maharashtra lost their jobs. He said that if the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance forms the government after securing majority, then that government will take care of the interests of the people of Maharashtra. Gandhi said that the entire political machinery was dismantled to help one person in the Dharavi redevelopment plan in Mumbai. He mocked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s 'Ek Hai To Surakshit Hai' slogan and accused the party of giving priority to the interests of industrialist Gautam Adani over the people of Maharashtra.
