Reliance Group below Rs 40,000 crore A huge drop in the stock market!

The market capitalisation (m-cap) of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 35, 319.49 crore to Rs 15.89 lakh crore. The stock has declined for two consecutive sessions. Last week, it had closed in the red for three days, except Thursday's trading session. Shares of Reliance Industries closed at Rs 1,174, down Rs 26.10 or 2.17 per cent.

Reliance Group below Rs 40,000 crore A huge drop in the stock market!

Reliance Group companies suffered a major fall on Monday and the market cap of the group has fallen by more than Rs 40,000 crore.

The market capitalisation (m-cap) of all Reliance Group companies declined by Rs 40, 511.91 crore to Rs 17.46 lakh crore.

The fall is being attributed to the weakness in the stock market, due to which the shares of all the group companies closed in the red mark.

Just Dial Ltd was the top loser, followed by Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd and Balaji Telefilms Ltd.

Reliance Industries was the top loser in the Nifty 50 basket of shares.

Reliance Industries was the biggest contributor to the Nifty's fall. It is the second most-weighted stock on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) benchmark.

The market capitalisation (m-cap) of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 35, 319.49 crore to Rs 15.89 lakh crore.
