The Delhi government will present the budget between March 24 and March 26. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta claimed that the upcoming "developed Delhi budget" will be prepared on the basis of suggestions from the public. The Chief Minister informed this at a press conference and said that this budget is being prepared with the aim of taking Delhi's development forward at a fast pace.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the people of Delhi had voted his party to power with an absolute majority and now the aim of his government was to fulfil the aspirations of the people. The focus of the government is development, progress and welfare of every section of Delhi. The budget will focus on economic assistance to women, expansion of health services, pollution control, improvement of public transport, creation of jobs, better provision of education, affordable and nutritious food for the poor, welfare of citizens and cleaning of the Yamuna river. Besides, the Delhi government has held meetings to seek suggestions from various groups. A dialogue with women's organizations will be held on March 5, while individuals associated with the education sector have been invited on March 5 evening. On March 6, suggestions will be taken from trade and industrial organizations. Apart from this, other sections of Delhi such as farmers, youth, and people from unauthorised colonies can also give their suggestions.
