Clashes broke out between two groups of people in Bihar's Jamui district. According to reports, the clash took place over the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa. People of one community returning from the temple were pelted with stones by people of another community. Several people were reported injured in the stone-pelting. The incident took place in Baliahi village under Jhajha police station in Jamui district.

The incident of a violent clash between two communities in Jamui is being reported on Sunday. Police have registered a case against 41 people in connection with the incident. Police have also suspended internet services in the area. The police have booked 50-60 unidentified people in connection with the incident. Police have arrested 9 persons. Police said peace committee meetings have been held with people from both sides in Jhajha and Jamui. A flag march was also taken out to maintain peace and law and order among the people.
