Was Chaudhary Devi Lal ever famous in Haryana? Today the political existence of his family is in danger!

Jananayak Janata Party, which had won 10 seats last time, has not got even one percent of votes this time. At the same time, INLD came from 19 to one seat and this time also it could get only two seats. The result of poor performance of both the local parties was that Haryana has become a bipolar state. That means there is a contest between only two big parties - BJP and Congress. The vote share of JJP and INLD went to Congress this time. Despite this, it was insufficient for Congress to form the government. At the same time, BJP maintained its vote share in almost all the areas.

Was Chaudhary Devi Lal ever famous in Haryana? Today the political existence of his family is in danger!

Chaudhary Devi Lal had a say in the politics of Haryana and the country. His identity was that of a big farmer leader. He was married to Harki Devi. Harki Devi and Devi Lal had four sons. Om Prakash Chautala, Ranjit Singh, Pratap Singh and Jagdish Singh. Devi Lal, popularly known as Tau, reached the post of Chief Minister of Haryana twice. He was the Deputy Prime Minister of the country from 2 December 1989 to 21 June 1991. In 1952, he became MLA from Congress for the first time. However, after becoming Deputy Prime Minister, he lost three consecutive Lok Sabha elections. In 1996, Devi Lal founded the Indian National Lok Dal.  Chaudhary Devi Lal, who was in Congress till 1971, joined Janata Party in 1977. In 1987, he founded the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). In 1989, when the Janata Party government was formed at the Centre, he even left the post of Prime Minister and took the post of Deputy Prime Minister to become the uncle of Haryana. Then he handed over the command of Haryana to his son Om Prakash Chautala. He became a Rajya Sabha member in 1998 and died in 2001 while being a Rajya Sabha MP. In the Haryana Assembly elections, BJP became the largest party by winning 48 seats and Congress again came into opposition with 37 seats. However, the regional parties here, Dushyant Chautala's JJP and Abhay Chautala's INLD, now have to fight to save their existence. In this election the public seemed unhappy with both the parties. Dushyant Chautala and Abhay Chautala could not even save their seats. At the same time, there has been a huge decline in the vote share of JJP and INLD. Jananayak Janata Party, which had won 10 seats last time, has not got even one percent of votes this time. At the same time, INLD came from 19 to one seat and this time also it could get only two seats. The result of poor performance of both the local parties was that Haryana has become a bipolar state.
