NEET-UG exam cancelled, CBI to probe impact on over 20 lakh students. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has cancelled the NEET-UG exam amid allegations of paper leak and malpractice. The investigation of the case has now been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
According to sources, the CBI will question 13 people who are in the custody of the Rajasthan SOG. Earlier on May 11, the Special Operations Group of the Rajasthan Police had questioned 45 people, including several suspects, in custody.
A man named Manish, a resident of Jaipur, is believed to be the alleged mastermind. It is alleged that he had acquired the probable questions even before the exam was printed.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot blamed the BJP government for the incident. He said the government tried to suppress the matter for two weeks and played with the future of the youth.
