4 major MoUs with Adani Hydro Energy Ten Ltd for hydropower projects in Maharashtra - 15000 jobs expected!
"We have planned the highest number of projects, investments and proposed power generation in the country under the pump storage policy. As part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal of making India a 'net-zero' country, Maharashtra has decided to source more than 50% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030. In order to give a new direction to the pump storage hydropower projects in Maharashtra, the Water Resources Department under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has signed 4 important Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
These agreements will boost renewable energy production as well as industrial and social development. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Maharashtra has become the leading state in the country in pump storage projects.

2. Ritwik Kolhapur PSP Pvt. Ltd.
Project: Off-stream closed loop pump storage, Chandgad, Kolhapur capacity: 1,200 MW Investment: Rs 7,405 crore Employment: 2,600
3. Adani Hydro Energy Ten Limited
Project: Adanadi Pump Storage, Chikhaldara, Amaravati Capacity: 1,500 MW Investment: Rs 8,250 crore Employment: 4,800
4. Waterfront Construction Pvt. Ltd.
