A student preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has committed suicide in Delhi's Old Rajinder Nagar. In his suicide note, the student has blamed himself for the incident. The deceased student has been identified as 25-year-old Tarun Thakur, a resident of Jammu. According to Lis, the Rajendra Nagar police station received a PCR call of a suicide at police station Rajendra Nagar on 21/31 Old Rajinder Nagar on the evening of July 19 i.e. Friday. When the police team reached the spot after receiving the call, the body of Tarun Thakur was found hanging from a piece of cloth from the ceiling fan. Tarun had been living in a room on the second floor for the past one year. There are a total of seven rooms on this floor and all are single rooms, in which only students preparing for UPSC stay. Police have also found the phone number of the deceased. He lives in Gurugram. The student had hanged himself with a rope. A suicide note was also recovered from the room. Preliminary inquiries revealed that the deceased's father tried to contact her several times since Friday morning, but there was no response. He then contacted the landlord and requested him to check. When the landlord reached the second floor of Tarun's room, he found the room locked from inside.
