Yatnal is a BJP MLA from Bijapur in Karnataka. He also claimed that he knew the names of the ministers involved in the case. He said stringent action would be taken against those found guilty in the incident. However, while saying all this, he made objectionable comments about Rania Rao. Rania Rao was arrested at the Bengaluru airport two weeks ago with 14 kg of gold concealed in her clothes. Initial investigations have also indicated the involvement of airport staff. Questioning the negligence of customs officials, Yatnal said strict action should be taken against them.
