Ram Temple Trust Secretary Champat Rai said on Sunday that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust has paid a tax of about Rs 400 crore to the government in the last five years amid bounce in religious tourism. He said that this amount was paid between 5 February 2020 to 5 February 2025. Out of this, Rs 270 crore was paid as GST, while the remaining Rs 130 crore was paid under various other tax categories. Due to the huge increase in the number of devotees, the earnings of Ram temple trust have also increased. In such a situation, tax of crores of rupees has been paid by the trust. Champat Rai, secretary of Ram Mandir Trust, has also given information about the number of devotees who come to see Ramlala. He said that the number of devotees and tourists in Ayodhya has increased ten times, making it a major religious tourist center.
