Ayodhya Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust paid Rs 400 crore tax to the government

Since the construction of the temple of Ramlala in Ramnagri Ayodhya, thousands of devotees have been reaching here from the country and the world. During the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, a number of thousands of devotees reached Ramlala to see Ramlala. After the construction of the temple, the number of people coming here has increased significantly, which has also affected the earnings of Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha area Trust. This is the reason that Ram Mandir Trust has given tax of Rs 400 crore to the government in the last five years. The amount paid as tax can be gauged from the Ram temple trust's earnings. Ram Temple Trust Secretary Champat Rai said on Sunday that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust has paid a tax of about Rs 400 crore to the government in the last five years amid bounce in religious tourism. He said that this amount was paid between 5 February 2020 to 5 February 2025. Out of this, Rs 270 crore was paid as GST, while the remaining Rs 130 crore was paid under various other tax categories. Due to the huge increase in the number of devotees, the earnings of Ram temple trust have also increased. In such a situation, tax of crores of rupees has been paid by the trust. Champat Rai, secretary of Ram Mandir Trust, has also given information about the number of devotees who come to see Ramlala. He said that the number of devotees and tourists in Ayodhya has increased ten times, making it a major religious tourist center. This has also created employment opportunities for the local people in Ayodhya and nearby. He said that 1.26 crore devotees came to Ayodhya during Mahakumbh. Last year, 16 crore tourists came to Ayodhya, out of which 5 crore devotees went to Ram temple. Champat Rai said that the financial record of the trust is regularly audited by the officials of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).
