The Maharashtra Congress on Thursday complained with the Pune collector, urging action against the distribution of 'Viksit Bharat' pamphlets in Karve Nagar, an official said. In the complaint submitted to Collector Suhas Divase, who is the returning officer for the Pune Lok Sabha seat, MPCC vice president Mohan Joshi said distribution of such booklets was violation of the model code of conduct.

Ayush Bobade, a resident of the Khairewadi area, expressed frustration over the prolonged water shortage plaguing their community for the past 18 months. Speaking to news agency ANI, he highlighted the dire situation where the water received twice a day is contaminated, leading to illnesses among the residents. In protest, Bobade stated that they have collectively decided not to vote until their basic need for clean water is met.The "No Water No Vote" message assumes significance ahead of Lok Sabha election 2024.
