Sant Kabir Nagar: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 201 public welfare projects worth over Rs 684 crore in Sant Kabir Nagar. 95 lakh poor families to get pucca houses

Referring to various welfare schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Chief Minister said that about 95 thousand poor families have got housing facilities in Sant Kabir Nagar. He said that these families probably never thought that they would get a pucca house without any recommendation.

He said that toilets have been constructed in the houses of about 3.5 lakh families. Describing it as an achievement of the 'double engine' government of the Centre and the state, the Chief Minister said the dreams of the poor were being realised under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On the issue of employment, Chief Minister Yogi said that under the double engine government, job and employment opportunities are continuously increasing for the youth of Uttar Pradesh. Accusing the opposition of doing "propaganda," he questioned what the Congress and Samajwadi Party governments had done for the youth and the poor.

Yogi said that earlier children of the poor used to die due to diseases and the governments used to remain silent. Today, there has been a big change in the health facilities in Uttar Pradesh and better treatment is being provided to the poor.

The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is now moving towards development, security and public welfare by coming out of the identity of riots, curfew and mafia rule. He claimed that the priority of the government was to extend the benefits of the schemes to every eligible person without discrimination and to establish the rule of law in the state.
