25 years of public service: BJP's mega campaign across the country, a show of strength on October 7

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up to organise massive events across the country to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public life. Meanwhile, BJP president Nitin Gadkari held a meeting with the party's state unit chiefs, general secretaries and state in-charges to review the preparations for the polls.

The effect of '25 years of public service' will be seen across the country from October 7

On 7 October 2001, Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time. He has held public office since then. He has been at the centre of Indian politics as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for nearly 13 years and as the Prime Minister for more than 12 years now.

The BJP is now preparing to celebrate this long public life as a big public relations campaign across the country. At the NDA meeting on June 10, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also said that a nationwide programme would be organised on the occasion of October 7.

From 'Seva Sankalp Mahotsav' to 'Seva Pakhwada'

The BJP will also run 'Seva Pakhwada' till October 2 during this period. The party is also planning to organise special programmes across the country for 15 days under the 'Seva Sankalp Mahotsav'.

BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde has been given the charge of the campaign. A seven-member team in each state will carry forward the campaign, which will include a minister of the state government, a general secretary of the organisation and five other leaders.

From cleanliness to health, the campaign will reach every village

During the campaign, programmes like cleanliness drive, blood donation camps, tree plantation and health camps will be organized. Digital and photo exhibitions will be held on the theme '25 years of Narendra Modi'.

Along with this, enlightened class conferences will be held keeping good governance, development and Antyodaya at the center. Interaction programmes will also be held with the youth and different sections of the society.

The party will also hold special camps to take the welfare schemes of the central and state governments to the people.

That is, the BJP does not want to limit Modi's 25 years of public life to a mere celebration, but is preparing to present it as a nationwide campaign of service, public relations and taking the achievements of the government to the people.
