Uproar in Parliament: Opposition hits out at govt over Ram temple row, action against students
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said that any attempt by the central government to break the opposition unity by separating the two demands of the opposition will not be allowed to succeed. According to Ramesh, the first demand of the opposition was the statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the alleged action of the Delhi Police on the protesting youth and after that the issue has been discussed in both the Houses. The second demand is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement on the alleged irregularities related to donations and offerings made to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust and has been widely discussed in both Houses of Parliament. The Congress leader claimed that the opposition has been raising these two issues continuously and strongly since the beginning of the Parliament session. He also said that the formation of the Ram Mandir Trust was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha on February 5, 2020.
New Delhi: The confrontation between the government and the opposition has intensified in the monsoon session of Parliament. The Congress has made it clear that the opposition will not budge from its demands on both the issues - alleged donations and irregularities related to the Ram temple trust and the alleged police action on protesting students.

Govt ready for discussion, but opposition calls for peace
Meanwhile, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government was ready for a discussion on the issue and Home Minister Amit Shah's response. He, however, appealed to the Opposition to speak peacefully in the House.
The Congress says the attempt to delink the two issues is a strategy to weaken opposition unity. Jairam Ramesh reiterated that the opposition will not allow these two demands to be separated.
Now let's look at the next session of Parliament.
On the one hand, the government is indicating that it is ready for a discussion, on the other hand, the opposition is sticking to its joint demand on both the issues. In such a situation, there is a possibility of further confrontation between the government and the opposition during the next session of Parliament.
