Bikaner to Kotputli is now just 3 hours! The proposed greenfield expressway in Rajasthan will change the picture of connectivity

Bikaner / Jaipur The proposed Bikaner-Kotputli Greenfield Expressway can prove to be a big gamechanger for the people of Rajasthan. The proposed 295 km long expressway is expected to complete the journey from Bikaner to Kotputli in about three hours. At present, it takes about 6 to 7 hours for passengers to travel this distance.

However, the NHAI has not issued any official update on the proposed expressway. An official confirmation on the project's timeline and construction status is awaited.

The journey will be completed in half the time.

The distance between Bikaner and Kotputli on the existing route is around 340 km. The journey may take more than 6 hours due to the road condition and the existing traffic. With the construction of the proposed greenfield expressway, the distance can be reduced to about 295 km.

The biggest advantage will be its fast and better connectivity. Due to high speed traffic on the expressway, the journey from Bikaner to Kotputli is expected to be completed in about half the time.

Easy access to Delhi-NCR.

The biggest strategic advantage of this project can be found in the form of better connectivity of western Rajasthan with Delhi-NCR and North India. The proposed expressway will connect Bikaner with Delhi-Jaipur National Highway (NH-48).

Further, connectivity from the vicinity of Kotputli to major routes like Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Ambala-Kotputli Expressway (NH-152D) will facilitate movement towards Delhi, Gurugram, Noida as well as Haryana and Punjab.

These 10 cities and towns will benefit

The proposed expressway will connect several important cities and towns of Rajasthan. Among them -

The districts are Bikaner, Napasar, Sridungargarh, Ratangarh, Fatehpur Shekhawati, Mandawa, Jhunjhunu, Udaipurwati, Neem Ka Thana and Kotputli.

This can not only improve road connectivity between these regions but is also expected to give impetus to trade, tourism, transport and logistics.

A big corridor can be built for western Rajasthan.

Bikaner and western Rajasthan getting faster connectivity from Delhi-NCR can have an impact on many sectors from local business to freight transport. Ease of access to markets in Delhi and North India, especially for an important city like Bikaner, can boost economic activity.

However, the project is currently at the proposed stage and there is no official update from NHAI. Therefore, the length of the expressway, the route, the start of construction and the deadline for completion should be considered final only after the official announcement.
