On the issue of EVMs, the Indian alliance seems to be divided into two camps. After Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the second leader of the alliance has expressed confidence in the EVMs and also taught a lesson to the allies. The Trinamool Congress on Monday (December 16) disassociated itself from ally Congress amid the ongoing debate over 'EVM tampering'. Senior party leader Abhishek Banerjee asked the party to "show evidence to the Election Commission" instead of "making some statements." TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee said, "I don't think there can be any discrepancy in the EVMs because in the elections that I have fought and seen, there is no such discrepancy. He also said that if you reduce the booth in a proper way, then I don't think there can be any kind of disturbance. "It is my personal opinion that those who are raising questions on EVMs should show a demo of its discrepancies to the Election Commission," the senior TMC leader said. They should show any video (as evidence) to the Election Commission. The Election Commission has called everyone.Banerjee said if an EVM does a good job during randomisation, then allegations of EVM manipulation are not true, even booth workers verify these ECMs during mock polls.
