The booking of the vehicles has also started. Currently, only the Model Y is sold in India. It is priced at Rs. 60. This is Rs 28 lakh more than the US. This is because of the tariffs imposed in India.
However, the store will serve as a Tesla vehicle experience centre for people. Not only vehicles will be sold here, but people will also be able to see Tesla's technology and features closely. The new model has just been launched in India. It has been imported from China, so the price after levying import duty is Rs 60 lakh. Later, the company can also consider producing these cars in India itself, then the prices can be reduced. However, Tesla is yet to announce its plans to manufacture its vehicles in India. According to Tesla's website, from Tuesday, July 15, the general public can book Model Y cars. However, its delivery will start from October. It is presented in two versions. It has a starting price of Rs 60 lakh and will have a range of five hundred kilometers on a single charge. The second variant is priced at Rs 67.89 lakh. It has a range of 622 km.
