In Uttar Pradesh, the support price of wheat will be procured from the declared - ₹2425 / quintal. 6500 purchase centres to be set up from 17th March 2025 to 15th June 2025

The cabinet meeting in Uttar Pradesh was held on Monday, March 10. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Briefing reporters after the meeting, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said a total of 19 proposals were placed before the Cabinet and all were approved.

The minister informed that the procurement of wheat in the state will be done from the declared support price of ₹2425 / quintal. From March 17, 2025 to June 15, 2025, 6500 purchase centers will be set up where procurement will be done, along with this, Suresh Khanna said that the proposal to transfer free land to the medical education department for the medical college in Ballia has been approved. With this, the proposal for the transfer of free land to the Medical Education Department for the construction of a nursing college in Heibulandshahr has been approved.

In addition, a revised project for construction of a 300-bed gynae and 100-bed paediatric block at Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, Etawah has been approved. The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation's proposal for free transfer of land of the Horticulture and Food Processing Department to the Housing and Urban Planning Department for the "Agra Metro Service" has been approved. Apart from this, the proposal for free transfer of land of the Home Department in favour of the Housing and Urban Planning Department for the Metro Depot of the second corridor of the Agra Metro Rail Project has been approved.
