PM Modi said that now GST has become even more simple. There are two GST rates - 5 per cent and 18 per cent. PM Modi said that the new GST rates will be implemented from Monday, September 22, i.e. the first day of Navratri.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the GST as the biggest reform in the country's history. During an event with National Award-winning teachers, he spoke about the GST reforms. "Without timely change, we cannot give our country its rightful place in today's global circumstances. This time on August 15, I had said from the ramparts of the Red Fort that next generation reforms are necessary to make India self-reliant. I had also promised the countrymen that there will be a double blast of happiness before this Diwali and Chhath Puja. PM Modi said that now GST has become even more simple.
