Sanjay Kapoor's 300 crore will raises questions! Did Priya Sachdev present a false will in court?
Shraddha Suri Marwah's lawyer Anuradha Dutt's arguments inadvertently raised questions about the veracity of the will submitted by Priya Sachdev Kapoor. Suri kept changing his statements and timelines, deepening suspicions that the will may not reflect Sanjay Kapoor's true wishes.
The hearing in the Delhi High Court on Thursday further complicated the ongoing dispute over Sanjay Kapoor's property. Especially because it doesn't even include the names of his children Samaira and Kiaan. Suri first said that he had received the will from Priya, but later revealed that on June 14, a person named 'Dinesh Agarwal' had sent him an email with the will and asked him to be the executor. The trust deed was first sent by mistake with this email and later the right will. Such a whole incident is considered very strange and legally dubious. Suri also admitted that she was not aware that she had been made an executor, did not have a lawyer and was not sure if the will was valid. This further raised the suspicion that the document was given to him later and not by Sanjay Kapoor himself. Priya Kapoor, on the other hand, told Suri on June 24 that it was Sanjay's last and only will, but later admitted in court that she was just a nominee, not the owner. In Indian law, the nominee only manages the property and not the ownership. This contradiction undermines Priya's claims and casts further doubt on the intent of the will as presented. If this will is not proved in court, then the property of Sanjay Kapoor will be divided equally among all the heirs, especially his children, according to the law. Suri's lawyer himself admitted this in the court. Suri also sought damages from Priya, which would not have been the job of an executor if he had faith in the will. It also shows that they themselves have doubts about this document. He also said that he never felt the need to probate the will, indicating that the correct legal process may not have been followed. Overall, Suri's changing statements and the revelation that Priya is just a nominee strengthen the suspicion that this will may not be Sanjay Kapoor's real will but an attempt to keep his property away from his children.
