A newlywed woman in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district eloped with her boyfriend just days after their wedding. After the incident, her husband heaved a sigh of relief and said that thankfully she did not suffer the same fate as Raja Raghuvanshi. The 20-year-old woman was married to Sunil (23), a resident of Mausampur village in Bisauli police station area, on May 17. After the marriage, she went to her husband's house and stayed there for a few days. But instead of returning, she eloped with her alleged boyfriend (22) 10 days later. Sunil recently filed a missing report with the police.
It is said that on Monday, the bride went to the police station and said in front of the officials and family members, I want to live with my lover now. Local Bisauli police officials brokered a compromise between the two families and decided to part ways with mutual consent. Jewellery and household items gifted during the wedding were returned.
