It has been seen in Goa and Gujarat that even though AAP has not won many seats in the assembly elections held in these states, it has made a dent in the vote bank of Congress. In the 2022 elections in Goa, AAP got 6.8 percent votes, while in Gujarat it got 12.92 percent votes. In both these elections, while Congress's vote share had decreased, BJP's votes had increased.
From Delhi to Punjab, from Goa to Gujarat, in every election the Aam Aadmi Party has made its ground at the expense of the Congress. In these states, while the party ousted the Congress from power by securing landslide victories in Delhi and Punjab, it became the major reason behind the poor performance of the Congress in Goa and Gujarat. In all these states, due to Aam Aadmi Party, BJP's prospects were either not affected, or it got huge benefits. On the other hand, the vote bank of Congress got scattered to a large extent and went to the side of Aam Aadmi Party. Will history be repeated in Haryana too?
