NATIONAL - The NEET paper leak case was heard in the Supreme Court on Monday. A three-judge bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud heard the petitions in the NEET paper leak case. CJI asked NTA that there was a delay in getting the paper from the bank locker, should it be believed that the NEET paper was leaked? The court asked when were the papers taken out from the locker? What time did the exam take place? On this, NTA's lawyer said that on May 5, they were taken out between 10:30-11 pm. Then CJI asked how many centers and how many students appeared in the examination? On this, the petitioner's lawyer said that about 24 lakh children participated. He then asked how the papers were distributed abroad? When was he sent abroad? On this, NTA's lawyer Kaushik said that the papers were sent through embassies. The CJI further asked how were they sent to the embassies? Diplomatic bag or courier. On this NTA said that we will find out. The hearing was conducted by a bench of two other judges (JB Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra) led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud.
