The Enforcement Directorate i.e. ED on Thursday raided the premises of Santiago Martin, known as the 'Lottery King' of Chennai. According to the information, ED has conducted this raid in connection with the investigation of money laundering. Let us tell you that lottery king Santiago Martin had donated Rs 1,300 crore to political parties through the electoral bond scheme. Recently, Madras High Court had given permission to ED to proceed with the investigation against Martin. After this, ED raided his premises on Thursday. Tamil Nadu Police had recently decided to close the case against lottery king Santiago Martin and some people. The lower court had accepted this version of the police. However, the Madras High Court has given permission to the Enforcement Directorate to proceed with the investigation against Martin.
