However, there are many seats where the margin of defeat of Congress is much less than the votes received by the second runner-up. There are 5 seats in Haryana where Congress had to suffer loss because of Aam Aadmi Party.

HARYANA ELECTION  - If votes had not been cut, Congress would have won more than 50 seats! Congress's votes were reduced but BJP regained its vote bank.

The results of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections 2024 have been revealed on Tuesday (8 October 2024).  BJP has been successful in forming the government for the third consecutive time. Even after 10 years, Congress's hands remained empty. In Haryana, BJP won 48 seats, while Congress got 37. However, there are many seats where the margin of defeat of Congress is much less than the votes received by the second runner-up. There are 5 seats in Haryana where Congress had to suffer loss because of Aam Aadmi Party. Here AAP's candidate got more votes than Congress's defeat. In this way, the party lost the game it had won on a total of 19 seats. Among the 5 seats where AAP changed the equations, the first one is Uchana Kalan assembly seat. On this seat, AAP party candidate Pawan Fauji got a total of 46473 votes. Devendra Chatter Bhuj (BJP) won from Uchana Kalan seat by a margin of only 32 votes. The second seat is Dabwali Assembly. From here, INLD's Aditya Devi Lal got a total of 56074 votes and defeated Congress's Amit by 610 votes, while AAP candidate Kuldeep Singh got 6606 votes on this seat. Talking about Dadri assembly seat, BJP candidate Sunil Satpal Sangwan defeated the Congress candidate by a total margin of 1957 votes. On this seat, AAP candidate Dhanraj Singh got a total of 64229 votes. On Mahendragarh seat, BJP candidate Kanwar Singh got a total of 63036 votes and defeated the Congress candidate by a margin of 2648 votes. AAP candidate Dr. Manish Yadav got 61296 votes on this seat. BJP candidate Yogendra Singh Rana got 54761 votes from Assandh Assembly seat. He defeated his opposition Congress candidate Shamsher Singh Gogi by a margin of 2306 votes. AAP got a total of 4290 votes from Assandh seat. 
There are 14 seats in Haryana, where the third place candidate got more votes than the Congress by which it lost. One such seat is Mahendragarh where BJP candidate Kanwar Singh got a total of 63036 votes. Here the Congress candidate lost by a total of 2648 votes, while Sandeep Singh from the independent party alone got 20834 votes. 
BJP candidate Manmohan Bhadana from Samalkha seat also got a total of 81293 votes. Congress candidate Dharam Singh Chhauk
