A case of bribery to clear a departmental exam in the Railways has come to light in connection with the railway recruitment scam. Today, the CBI has registered a case against many officers in connection with this recruitment scam. The CBI has registered a case against railway officials in Vadodara, Mumbai and other places. A case has been registered against Ankush Wasan (IRPS, Western Railway, Vadodara), Sanjay Kumar Tiwari (Deputy Chief Commercial Manager, Churchgate, Western Railway, Mumbai), Neeraj Sinha (Deputy Superintendent) and Mukesh Meena, among others, for allegedly accepting bribe to clear a departmental examination in the Railways. According to the information received from the CBI, a total of 10 candidates were listed who wanted to pass the exam by paying money. A bribe of Rs 4-5 lakh has been collected from each candidate. Officials said the transactions were done in gold instead of cash as there was no record of the transactions. The CBI has found that Ankush Wasan had directed Sanjay Kumar Tiwari to prepare a list of 10 candidates who would be willing to pay bribe for selection in the upcoming committee department examination to be conducted by the Western Railway. Ankush had also asked Sanjay to get in touch with Mukesh Meena to find out how many such candidates were ready so that money could be taken from them. After this, Sanjay Kumar Tiwari gathered information about the interested candidates from Mukesh Meena. Mukesh Meena said that he has already taken money from 5 such candidates
