The NDA MPs reached Makar Dwar after their weekly 'Mangal Milan' meeting from the Parliament library. Slogans like 'Rahul Gandhi Jawab Do' and 'Rahul Gandhi Bhago Mat' were raised by BJP MPs against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. BJP MPs had alleged that Rahul Gandhi was avoiding a discussion in Parliament on the issue of student agitations and alleged police action in various parts of the country.

At the same time, the MPs of India Block were protesting demanding a reply from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Opposition MPs raised the issue of alleged police action against students protesting over allegations of paper leak in Delhi on July 20. At the same time, the opposition also targeted the government over the alleged theft of donations for the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and other opposition leaders were present in the meeting. The opposition is demanding that Home Minister Amit Shah clarify the position on the alleged action against students in Parliament.

The government had on Monday announced the discussion with Home Minister Amit Shah's response to the student protests in various parts of the country. Rahul Gandhi had then questioned the government, saying the country does not want the Home Minister's opinion on "general subjects" in Parliament but wants to know if pellet guns were ordered to be fired at protesting students.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, in a direct attack on Rahul Gandhi, raised the issue of alleged police action during the student agitation in Jharkhand. He claimed that Devendra Nath Mahto, who was on hunger strike, was assaulted. The Congress and the BJP have been attacking the Hemant Soren government over the issue.

BJP MP Kangana Ranaut also raised the issue of alleged crackdown on students in Jharkhand. He alleged that water cannons and tear gas were used on the agitating students and they were allegedly beaten up. He demanded for a response from the government on the issue.

The students' agitation against alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations in Jharkhand intensified on Monday. Police used water cannons and lathicharge to stop thousands of candidates marching towards the assembly. According to officials, the protesters broke several barricades, leading to a clash between the police and the protesters.

Tuesday's protest outside Parliament became the latest focus of political resonance on the issue. While the BJP cornered the opposition over the alleged crackdown on students in Jharkhand, the INDIA block sought answers from the central government on the alleged police action against students in Delhi and allegations related to Ram temple donations in Ayodhya.

The two political camps, who came face to face at Makar Dwar, made it clear that the student movement, the police action and the allegations related to Ram Mandir donations have now become major political issues not only inside the Parliament but also outside the Parliament complex.
