It has been almost 2 days since that incident, but where is the Asia Cup trophy now and how can it come to India? After the Asia Cup final, Mohsin Naqvi took the Asia Cup trophy with him and the trophy is still with him. According to a recent report in Cricbuzz, Mohsin Naqvi is ready to give the trophy and medal to the Indian team, but for this he has put a condition. Naqvi said that he will give medals and trophies to Team India, but this will be possible only if a program is organized in which he himself will give medals and trophies to the Indian team. Team India would hardly accept such a condition because after the final, it was the Indian team that refused to take the trophy from the hands of Naqvi. Now how will the Asia Cup trophy come to India? One answer could be that Mohsin Naqvi should give the trophy and medal to the Indian team without any condition. The second could be that the BCCI files a formal complaint with the ACC and the ICC. According to the Times of India, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia had also said that Mohsin Naqvi has no right to keep the trophy with him. Saikia also warned that he would first lodge a complaint with the ACC and if need be with the ICC.
