The first of the 75 Indians to return to India from Syria is Ravi Bhushan, a resident of Ghaziabad. On his return to India, Ravi referred to the dire situation in Damascus and thanked the Indian government for its help. Ravi Bhushan told ANI about the kind of efforts India made to help its citizens get back home. "India has started the rescue operation and we are the first team to be rescued from Syria and brought back to the country," Ravi said. "The best part is that they (Indian Embassy) have contacted every single person, encouraged them and asked if they are okay.
