TVK chief actor Vijay challenged Chief Minister Stalin, "If you have any thoughts of revenge, you can take any action against me."
Vijay's remarks came after his party colleagues were booked by the police in connection with the stampede that took place in Tamil Nadu's western Karur district on September 27. The police have booked TVK leaders including senior party leader Bassi N Anand and CTR Nirmal Kumar.
TVK lead actor Vijay posted a video from the official handle of TVK on social media platform X on Tuesday (September 30, 2025). In this video post, the TVK chief expressed his condolences to the victims of the Karur stampede and wished the injured a speedy recovery. In the video, he said he was deeply saddened by the incident. Meanwhile, actor Vijay has hinted at facing action in the case. He also criticised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. Taking a dig at the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in Tamil Nadu, he said, "Chief Minister sir, if you have revenge in your mind, you can do anything to me but cannot touch party people. You can come to my house or my office and take any action against me, but not against them. He claimed that on the day of the incident, he had left Karur early keeping in mind the safety of the people.
