The truth behind Rahul Gandhi's allegations of vote theft in Karnataka: The names of around 7,000 voters were deleted from a cyber cafe for just Rs 480,000.

Amid Rahul Gandhi's allegations of vote theft in Karnataka, the SIT has made a shocking revelation. The CID SIT probing the deletion of names of voters in Aland Assembly constituency in Kalaburagi district has found that the deletion of names of voters was done from a cyber centre in Aland.
According to SIT sources, a total of 6994 voters were assigned the task of deleting names, out of which 6000 voters were deleted. A sum of Rs. 4.8 lakh had been spent on it. This means that Rs 80 was charged for deleting a voter's name. The investigation also revealed that the voters whose names were deleted were either Dalits or belonged to the minority community. According to sources, the SIT investigation has revealed that this work was carried out with the help of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) between December 2022 and February 2023. However, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi refuted the allegations. The Election Commission said only 24 names were deleted and all of them were genuine. At that time, when this matter was raised, a person named Mohammad Ashfaq was suspected. He was also questioned at the time but was later released and is currently in Dubai. The SIT team is in the process of bringing him back.
