NATIONAL - There is no evidence of large-scale rigging in NEET-UG 2024. The central government made this claim in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court on Wednesday. The Supreme Court will hear this matter on July 11. The Center has cited the report of IIT-Madras in the affidavit. The government reiterated that it does not want to conduct NEET-UG again. According to the Centre, doing this on the basis of 'baseless suspicions' will put a burden on about 24 lakh students. In the affidavit, the Center has said that the counseling process will start from the third week of July. Counseling will take place in four phases. The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts NEET-UG, has also filed a separate affidavit. 
In the affidavit, the central government said that experts from IIT Madras have done technical analysis of the data of NEET-UG 2024. There was no indication of large-scale irregularities or any local level advantage to candidates that led to abnormal scores. The data showed that there has been an overall increase in the marks obtained by the students,
